The State of California requires all Californians to avoid:

  • Washing down driveways and sidewalks.
  • Watering outdoor landscapes so that excess water runs off the area to be watered.
  • Using a hose to wash a vehicle, unless the hose is fitted with a shut-off nozzle.
  • Using potable water in a fountain unless the water is recirculated.
  • Application of potable water to outdoor landscapes during and within 48 hours of measurable rainfall.

As an ongoing agenda item, the Board will continue to consider ways to encourage water conservation.

Here’s an interesting idea for extending our water resources:
Harvest rainwater!
